Mission Brief AORBX-001
AORBX-1 is a sun-synchronous Earth-observation satellite with an onboard edge AI compute module. Instead of beaming every raw image back to Earth, the spacecraft captures, preprocesses, infers and prioritises imagery on-orbit, then downlinks only the detections and lightweight evidence products during ground-station passes.
This mission demonstrates the full loop: image acquisition over Indian landscapes (Western Ghats, Gargai Dam, Pune, Sundarbans, Punjab fields) 5-model AI inference (fire, flood, canopy change, agri stress, infrastructure change) deterministic scheduling under CPU, RAM, power, thermal and bandwidth budgets bandwidth-aware downlink that favours critical and high-severity events during limited contact windows with Pune and Sriharikota ground stations.
Press Start Mission to begin orbit propagation and automatic observation generation. Use the trigger buttons to inject fire, flood or infrastructure events on demand and watch the pipeline, queue, map and downlink metrics update in lock-step.
